Initially conceived to accompany Donald Judd’s “Dinner service” collection, this collection of wooden flatware is a response to the delicacy of the silver that characterizes the products in the catalog. Although it is new for Puiforcat to offer cutlery in this material, the combination of wood and silver was already present in Jean’s creations.
In close collaboration with the artistic direction, each piece of cutlery was designed by the English designer Jasper Morrison. A major figure in contemporary design, his work is characterized by simple, light, clean and rigorous lines. In this, he resembles the radicalism of Jean Puiforcat, whose three-pronged fork he uses for this Art Deco-inspired cutlery.
